Message Dyno horsepower is at the rear wheels and Z usually lose 15%-20% through the drivetrain and transmission. So his Z has about 237.5hp assuming a 20% lost.

: : Yeah i know its an NA, but being a college student and having to pay for your education its all i can afford right now. Ive always felt my NA was pretty quick as NAs go, i beaten every other NA ive raced and i usually hang with 5.0 mustangs, so i was wondering what the thing puts down to the rear wheels.

: : Its a 90 model 5spd with 130k on the engine

: : ive added

: : stillen headders
: : ASP underdrive pully
: : Naxos mufflers
: : and Arospeed cone filter

: : The results are not too bad especially considering it was 95deg outside when this was done, the numbers are SAE corrected but you will never get the same numbers you would on a cool day say around 65deg.

: : Anyway take a look for your self.

: Im not extatic with the results but im not dissapointed enther, it put down almost exactly what i expected ...190hp

: : It was kinda embarrasing cause i went during a F-Body/LS1 meeting dyno day with my friend so after watching 300-450hp runs of Z28s and Trans AMs on NOS my car gets up there and puts down 190.
: : I actually impressed the owner of Powerhouse, he asked what i expected to dyno at I told him 190, he chuckled and said "dont get your hopes up ive seen a few non turbo Zs in here before, the Turbos usually put down @300 but ive never seen an NA put down anwhere near 200" I told him i was hoping for the best. After the car ran the results came in and he said well you were right, its right at 190.

: : Im glad i got it done, I can drive the car faster now that i know where the engine is making its peak HP, I usto shift at 5 grand but now that i know the peak HP is at 6800rpm i changed my shift points to 6.5
